On November 22, 1963, the day of President John F. Kennedy's assassination, Lee Harvey Oswald was at work at the Texas School Book Depository in Dallas. After the assassination, he fled the scene and was later apprehended for the murder of a Dallas police officer, J.D. Tippit.
