Hotfoot Teddy was the name of a small bear cub injured in a 1950 forest fire in Lincoln National Forest, New Mexico.
He later went on the become the living symbol of forest fire prevention in the US when his name was change to Smokey Bear.
We now know him as Smokey Bear...he was originally called Hot Foot Teddy and later he was called Smokey Bear.
