Benjamin Franklin
Ben Franklin lived most of his life in an English colony and there wasn't a "United States" until the constitutional convention when he was 81 years old. So, he never had the chance to be president since the office didn't exist until he was too old. He was so crippled with gout in the constitutional convention that he had to be carried into the room with sedan chair carried by prisoners from the jail. He was the oldest delegate in the convention.
Thomas Jefferson because he was shot

Although Benjamin Franklin's mind remained active, his body was deteriorating. He was in constant pain because of gout and having a stone in his bladder, and he could barely walk. He would enter the convention hall in a sedan chair carried by four prisoners from the Walnut Street jail in Philadelphia.
He never was president. When he attended the constitutional convention he was in the oldest man there. He no longer could walk and was carried each day on a Sudan chair held by prisoners from the jail. He was such a talker and character by then that he was assigned two people to make sure he wouldn't talk about the convention at the pub. He liked his ale each night.
Oh, he saw a half sun carved on the back of Washington's chair. As he signed the constitution he remarked that he now knew that the sun wasn't a setting sun but a rising one.
A "Sedan chair" was a chair on poles carried by two people; one in front, one behind.
No. By the time the constitution was in place Franklin was 81 years old ( the oldest man in the convention) and he wasn't well. He had gout ( everyday he was carried in a chair into the convention) and he was popular with people but he couldn't keep a secret and he liked to flirt. He was very much a rascal and involved in some shady dealings in England and France. No one in the convention would have voted for him.
A "Litter" or "Sedan Chair".
