Martin Luther is the most well known however there are many who were against the excess of the catholic church.........
Yes, and no. The Catholic Church considers alcoholism as in drinking to excessive over a period of time a serious sin. Alcoholism, the condition where the body has become acclimated to a large consumption of alcohol would no longer be considered a serious sin, in and of itself, but the drinking that got you to that point would be considered a serious sin. To be considered a serious sin, free will must be involved, and a free decision. When you get to the point where there is little free will involved and little to no decision then you are looking at other sins perhaps, but no longer the original serious sin of just drinking to excess. Which is not to say that no sin is involved.
.Catholic AnswerIt is never a sin to drink beer, as long as it is not to excess, then it would always be a sin. Church is a place to pray so I don't think one would have an opportunity to drink in a Church. If you have given up beer for something, or for a fast day then it would be a sin to drink it. Sunday has never been a fast day.
Anything above 200mg/dl is excess. thanks
Because an excess of water soluble vitamins (or anything water soluble) can be easily eliminated by the kidneys, which is not true of fat soluble substances.
All of the answers were good, although some information was considered excess.
A blood alcohol level in excess of 0.8% is considered intoxicated.
No. Fortitude is strength, stamina, so you can have mental, emotional, or physical fortitude. But "excess verbiage" is redundant. Verbiage is an excess of words, especially useless ones.
Excess food eaten by humans is turned to fat and is considered to be a protein type of energy. This will be stored and broken down when it is needed by the body cells.
Any amount in excess of the the court ordered child support.
Intermittently drinking to excess for the purpose of getting drunk.
It depends on what you mean by "largest church."If you mean the largest church organization/denomination: the Roman Catholic Church with over a billion members. If you mean the largest individual church (known as a megachurch): Deeper Christian Life Ministry in Lagos, Nigeria with 75000 attendees. If you mean the largest church building: St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City.
A:Given the enormous publicity the Catholic Church has generated around the work that Mother Teresa did for the poor in Calcutta and elsewhere, as well as the enormous sums donated each year to the cause, what is surprising is the small scale of her actual assistance to the poor. It has been pointed out that just one other, less well publicised charity in Calcutta provides around 18000 meals a day for the homeless, well in excess of the number provided by all the Missionaries of Charity missions combined. Questions have been raised about what the Catholic Church actually does with the donations received by the order.
