King George II (George Augustus; born 10th November 1683- reign commenced 11th June 1727 -died 25th October 1760)

There has not been a King (or Queen) of England since 1707.

George II was King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain - which includes England, Scotland and Wales.

He held the title King of Ireland separately.

There has not been a monarch of England since 1707. England is a part of, but not the same as, The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. In 1838, the British monarch was Queen Victoria who, at that date was Queen of The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.

In 1831 the British Monarch was King William IV, and at that time he was King of The United Kingdom of Great Britain and, separately, King of Ireland.
