David Lloyd George, the first (and only) Welshman to hold the office. He took over from Herbert Asquith in the middle of WW1 following disagreements in the Asquith Government about war policy, and was in office until October 1922, when he was replaced by the Conservative Andrew Bonar Law.

He died in 1945 aged 82, soon after the end of WW2 in Europe.

Herbert Henry Asquith was Prime Minister of the UK from 1908 until 1916.

George V was the King. The Prime Minister was Herbert Asquith, who was elected in 1908 and oversaw a turbulent period of British and world history, which included Suffragette riots, massive industrial unrest and strikes in 1911, the Titanic disaster of 1912, the Second Balkan War, the Italy-Abyssinian War, and the first part of Britain's involvement in WW1.

Asquith resigned in 1916 over diagreements about war policy, and was replaced by his Chancellor, David Lloyd George. He died in 1928.
