Pi is a number representing a ratio (between diameter and circumference of a circle)that exists in nature. That ratio is what it is, and would be that even if humans had not discovered it; so it is not strictly accurate to say anyone created pi. Ancient Egyptians realized it was a constant number, and arrived at an approximation of its value.
