The UK is a Constitutional Monarchy so doesn't have a president. George VI and his wife Elizabeth were King and Queen during World War 2, Neville Chamberlain was Prime Minister until 10 May 1940 and was replaced by Winston Churchill on that date. Clement Attlee then became Prime Minister on 26 July 1945.
