In World War I, the U.S. was allies with Great Britain/United Kingdom, France, Canada, and the Soviet Union, also known as Russia. They were against Germany, Italy, and Austria-Hungary which split into two different countries in World War II. In both wars, Germany lost and was hit the most with blame, which sent their country into an economic crisis and created hate in the citizens who wanted to get back at the Allies.
