After Fremont withdrew, Lincoln easily defeated McClellan to remain President.

the democratic nominee was Horace Greeley but he died 3 weeks after the election. Electoral votes committed to Greeley were split among 4 democratic candidates - B. Gratz Brown, Thomas Hendricks, Charles Jenkins and David Davis.
