Robert R. Wilson, Lise Meitner, and Otto R. Frisch
America's Manhattan project was headed by J Robert Openheimer. His principle assistants were Hans Bethe, Victor Weisskopf, Earnest Lawrance and Enrico Fermi.
Many, many countries helped in the Manhattan Project.
Robert J. Oppenheimer is usually credited with being the primary scientific leader of the U.S. Manhattan Project. However, the project was an immense undertaking, and there were literally thousands of very smart scientists involved, and it would be a mistake to credit the technological advancements required to build the bomb to even a small group of them. Oppenheimer is usually noted because he headed the scientific portion of the Manhattan Project - he was the lead science administrator, and while he did make some interesting contributions, his primary job was administrative, rather than research.
Leo Szilard and Albert Einstein brought concerns to the FDR Administration in August 1939 about the serious possibility of an atomic bomb being feasible, and the concern inside the scientific community that Germany might have the technological and scientific know-how to create such a weapon for use in the just-started WW2. Einstein, however, did not do any of the initial research in atomic fission, nor did he play any role in the Manhattan Project.
In the related links box below, I posted the information.
The ATOMIC BOMB , can kill millions of people, destroy a county, and all that jazz. This is why we ( United States) try and not use it, it causes MASS distruction.
They did steal all the information needed to make it. Read "The Making of the Atomic Bomb" by Richard Rhodes
Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
They called the atomic bomb pandora's box because it had many negative effects on a lot of people.once opened, never closed. but that is true of all science/technology.
90,000-166,000 people in Hiroshima and 60,000-80,000 in Nagasaki were killed but all of them died instantaneously. There was no way how many people died instantly.
its a bomb that's atomic =) and blows up stuff. hope that helpsfirst of all its what DO people think of the atomic bomb ^-^ any ways the atomic bomb astonished everyone (exept scientists) it very amazing >.
They all died.

first of all, there are many chemicals in the bomb, which affects the lungs greatly. people now that dealed with them, are developing problems.
They all died lots of people died, yes, but the radiation from the bomb also affected the survivours and gave them diseases that their decendants got. so a child years after the atomic bomb could die as like an after effect
If the atomin bomb didnt work. The preident (Harry Truman) would launch an all-out attack on Japan that I would estimate kill as much people as 20 atomic bombs.

only the US
Not at all.
It had in affeact on the people in japan they ended up having nothing they lot ther family houses and everything they worked for all their lives, and lot the great city. America they had lotz of money to pay for the making of the atomic bomb and also they had to help rebuild the japan city they harmed. It affected America by money and affected japan emotionally
The atomic bomb did not exist until 1945, so no it could not be used by anybody in WW1.
He didn't. All he had to do with the atomic bomb was signing a letter written by Leo Szilard that was sent to FDR.
