Many teach that Enoch and Elijah never died but were taken to Heaven with God. This is a misinterpretation of Scripture as it repeatedly states it is appointed unto man to die, then the Judgment. These two men were simple 'transported' in the sky (heaven) to a safe location. Elijah is even noted writing a letter to the present King of Jerusalem 7 years after the chariot came to take him away.Here is a verse once used in a 1960's hit, 'Turn, turn, turn.'Ecclesiastes 3:2New International Version (NIV) 2 a time to be born and a time to die,a time to plant and a time to uproot,
The Bible just says they were two theives.
The Bible is very clear that all die and await the resurrection (see Hebrews 11 for an example). You are referring to the tradition of some that Enoch and Elijah did not die.
Elijah and Enoch were the only two people mentioned in the Bible to go to heaven without dying. Enoch was the first of the two.
