Hitler
Czechoslovakia, (which was one nation then), was given to Hitler, without asking the Czechs what they thought of the deal. Afterwards, England's Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain waved a piece a paper around and proclaimed: "Now, we have peace in our time". A year later, Germany invaded Poland, England declared war on Germany, and Winston Churchill replaced Neville Chamberlain as Prime Minister.
The Czechs were not invited to the Munich conference by the British or French. The British and French though that the Czechs would not help make a deal with Hitler.
This is actually what happened before Hitler invaded Czechoslovakia:"The British Prime Minister, Neville Chamberlain flew to Munich to have words with Hitler ! And returned home with a piece of paper & the idea of 'Peace in our Time.' Hindsight shows just how wrong this was, but of course they had hoped for a very different outcome. This was called Appeasement. For obvious reasons, WW1 was less than 20 years before, they hoped to avoid another panEuropean war, and I suppose it shows just how easy it is to be wise after the event. Certainly there was hostility towards Hitler in Britain & France, but I think most people really just hoped for the best, what else could they do anyway ? As for the people in Czechoslovakia they weren't really given any choice."After this is when Hitler actually betrayed the Munich Pact. He had agreed to leave Czech alone after gaining the Sudetenland and Neville Chamberlain was dumb enough to believe that. But Hitler went back on the deal and invaded the Czechs anyway.
Peace in our time. That was the idea and I am sure he thought it a laudable one, by appealing to Hitlers' egalatrian feelings he thought a deal could be struck. The problem was Hitlers egalatarian feelings did not exist. Hitler, as time showed, was not a man to whom you could appeal in any way. Chamberlain did not know this: & frankly neither did anyone else at that time. In hindsight critiscism is so very easy, but the road to hell, as the saying goes, is paved with good intentions.
whoa
hitler killed them by sending them in a gas room with no ventilations
Because Hitler blaimed the Jews for the tradety of World War I
At first it was Sir Neville Chamberlain- he had been in office since '37 and had signed a peace deal with Hitler at the Munich Summit Meeting in 1938, at which Hitler promised not to annexe any further countries within the Third Reich after his invasion of Austria and Czechoslovakia. Chamberlain was desperate to avoid another European war, remembering all to clearly the apocalypse of WW1 which saw millions of deaths. But Hitler broke his promise and invaded Poland at the beginning of September 1939, forcing Chamberlain to declare war on Germany on 3rd Septmeber. He sent a massive British Expeditionary Force into France to help the French armed forces keep the Nazi's from occupying France, but the disastrous British retreat from Dunkirk lead to his resignation in February 1940, to be replaced by Winston Churchill. Churchill headed a coalition government until the end of the war in Europe in May 1945, but very soon afterwards a General Election was called, which saw a Labour government under Clement Attlee elected. Attlee was thus Prime Minister when the war ended in the Far East, in the August of '45.
Adolf Hitler
Stalin was the leader of Russia during ww2 and made a deal with Hitler that they could have half the world each, Hitler would have Europe and other countries and Stalin would have the rest. Hitler only made this deal so that he could have the oil in the east of Russia, he later made a deal with Japan that was a real alligence. Hitler was now fighting on 2 fronts, the allies and Russia
The two major pacts that caused World War 2 were the Munich Pact and the German Soviet Non Aggression Pact. The Munich Pact (sometimes called agreement ) showed Hitler that the appeasement policies of France & England were still in operation. The German people now more than ever believed in Hitler. Without firing a shot, Hitler had occupied the Rhineland, taken over Austria and now had the Sudetenland. With the German-Soviet Union Non Aggression pact (treaty ) Hitler had taken Stalin out of the picture. He knew that Poland would collapse at once as the secret clause in the deal with Stalin, allowed the Soviets to take over eastern Poland. Hitler now had any hopes of France & England to save Poland dashed.
