The top three positions in the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest were taken by the following countries:
Germany finished in first place in the contest, their first win as a unified country, with 19-year-old Hanoverian singer Lena (full name Lena Meyer-Landrut, born May 23, 1991), winning the German selection contest in the program "Unser Star für Oslo", singing, in the final of the contest, "Bee", "Satellite" and "Love Me". Lena finished with 246 points, a margin of 76 points to the second-placed country. She received twelve points from the following countries: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Norway, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.
Second place in the contest went to Turkey, whose band maNga performed the song "We Could Be The Same", one of three songs put forward to the Turkish Eurovision Radio and Television Corporation to select for the contest. maNga finished with 170 points.
Third place went to Romania, for whom Romanian singer Paula Seling and Romanian/Norwegian singer Ovi (full name Ovidiu Cernăuţeanu) qualified from the Selecţia Naţională 2010, held on March 6, 2010, amidst controversy that the song had been co-written with a non-Romanian songwriter. Seling and Ovi finished with 162 points.
Seven years have passed since the last scoring of "nul points" in the contest, 2003's United Kingdom entry "Cry Baby", by Jemini.
