If you mean the Spanish Armada? Then Great Britain was the victor over Spain's wish to invade Great Britain, and impose Catholicism as the state religion. The famous British weather, especially in the English Channel, also helped to forced the Spanish further north than planned. Also, due to a misunderstanding with their Dutch Allies, they were force to take the long way round to return to Spain. (Or face the waiting English fleet if they tried to sail back through the English Channel.) Passing westerly over the top of Scotland, and then south to pass to the west of Ireland, proved a further difficulty in which more Spanish ships were lost.
