There is no need for the DingoBot. The question requires solid examples....

The job markets and compensation for positions in the United States have a broad base of information on which to draw from. Data concerning the types of jobs and their pay can come from a number of government agencies that are involved with the job markets at the local, State and Federal governments.

The job markets for skilled workers and persons with professional jobs depend on several variables, such as more exact definitions of what types of skilled jobs and professional jobs are in this equation.

Another factor depends if a comparison depends on geographical locations. The salaries or wages can be compared on the criteria mentioned at the start of this answer.

At this point in the discussion, it's a good idea to make some basic definitions of "skilled workers" and "professional workers". For the purpose of providing an answer to the question, a skilled worker has a job that requires a high school diploma, and a professional worker has a job that requires a college degree.

It is also important to note that jobs within each category can differ greatly in terms of pay & benefits. This of course then alters the pay figures when making a comparison between the two main groups, skilled & professional.

The following comparisons will demonstrate that there is no correct or definitive answer to the question.

Skilled worker A operates a heavy duty road construction equipment. No college education is necessary, and on an annual basis worker A earns $100,000 per year. ..

Professional worker B is a high school teacher that requires a college degree and earns $75,000 per year.

In this comparison, the skilled worker earns more money.

Skilled worker C works on an automobile assembly line. No college education is required. The work is skilled because it entails making sure a robotic piece of equipment places an engine properly on the cars engine mounts. If the robotic arm fails to do this, the skilled worker, who has studied and understands the machine manual for this robotic arm, can make adjustments, or has the authority to stop the assembly line if more serious adjustments are required. Based on his union contract, the skilled worker makes $65,000 per year.

Professional worker D has a college degree in accounting and has passed a State exam to qualify as a Certified Accountant. He is employed in a public accounting firm and is a partner in the firm. He or she is not a managing partner. This person a CPA, and partner earns $110,000 per year.

In the above example, the professional worker earns more than the skilled one.

Skilled worker E works on an assembly line where major parts of commercial airplanes are are assembled. The job here does not require a college degree. A robotic arm installs the tires that fit over the axial struts of the airplane. The job is skilled because the worker must read a monitoring device that insures the tire is fitted correctly. Variables are permitted that other workers can fix later, however certain variables must be fixed now. The worker understands the manuals of the monitoring device. This requires skill and the understanding of errors that should be fixed at once or fixed further down the line. The airplane plant is in South Carolina, which allows trade unions only if voted on by the workers. South Carolina is a "right to work " State. AS per law, no union has been voted to bargain for the workers. The annual pay for this skilled worker is $35,000 per year.

At once we see a sizable difference in pay between two skilled worker jobs. Its based on geographical location and State laws.

Further to this point, skilled worker F does the exact same job of skilled worker G. Worker G works on the assembly line in Seattle Washington. There is no "right to work" statute in the State of Washington. Worker G is represented by a trade union. By State law the worker must join the union to work the skilled job in Washington. Worker G earns $55,000 per year doing the exact same work as worker E, yet earns a substantially higher annual pay.

This example displays a difference in skilled workers depending on their geographical location within the USA.

Professional job pay comparison.

Professional worker H is a Certified Public Account, same as example D. Worker H also works in the same accounting firm as worker D. The education requirements are identical. Worker H however has been made a partner in the public accounting firm. As such worker H is entitled to a share of the firm's profits. Again, each does the exact same work, however as a partner, worker H shares more directly in the firm's profits and earns an annual salary of $750,000.

Professional worker I is a physician that works as a doctor in Jones Hospital. This job requires two degrees and work as what is called a "resident". This doctor works directly for Jones Hospital and earns $1,500,000 per year. The hospital is in New York City.

Professional worker J does the same work as doctor I, but earns $800,000 per year. This doctor works in San Antonio, Texas.

Skilled worker K is an X-ray technician, the job requires no college education. The position requires passing an exam, based on a local medical "school" that will train anyone. Worker K earns $45,000 per year.

Skilled worker L is an auto mechanic that works for a car sales company that sell GM cars. The job requires no college but the mechanic must be "certified" to work on GM cars. A trade school can provide any extra knowledge to become certified. This worker L earns $53,000 per year. It's more than skilled job K, the x-ray technician.

These examples show how different jobs can pay whether by comparing professional jobs with each other, or making comparisons with skilled and professional jobs.

The pay of the skilled construction machine worker at $100,000 per year is higher than the professional teacher and almost as much as the certified accountant at 110,000 per year.

Both of these jobs are higher than the professional teacher making $65,000 per year.

The point here is that it's not possible to answer the original question. That's because there are a multitude of jobs in the skilled and professional fields. This is only a sampling of the many comparisons that can be made.

How difficult is it to immigrate to Canada if your fiance is Canadian and do you apply for a skilled worker or do you get married and apply for citizenship if you don't have many funds right now?

I believe you'll be asked to show proof of at least $10,000 CAD for a skilled worker status, even with a job offer. I would get married and try for the family status, although Canada really likes for you to show you can support yourself until you're on your feet.
