A loyalist supported England in the Revolutionary war. A Redcoat was a term used for a British solder who fought for England in the Revolutionary War. A neutralist did not take sides in the war. A Patriot supported the United States and he fought for the United States and against England in the Revolutionary War. Now, who do you think would make such a statement?
Benedict Arnold was neither a loyalist nor patriot. It's been said he is a opprotunist, which basically means he switched sides. Although he was a govenor on the American side in the first place. But than he told the British Government that he would spy on America for them, than he did the same thing back to America. Benedict switched sides when he thought the other team was winning, which makes him an opprotunist. Sadly, didnt think about what would happen when both sides figured out what he was doing, and they were going to be he angry.
Neutral means not taking sides and you should know what a colonist was! Just in case a colonist was a person who lived in a colony and a colony was a a place that is ruled by another country.
I believe the answer is that since he was brought as a slave (if I'm correct) that he didn't know who to trust. He thought the patriots and loyalists were both bad people.
Ben Franklin thought it was unfair to patriots that Britain had complete rule over them, so he became a patriot. The rise of a patriot Benjamin Franklin used his brilliant mind in helping prepare for war and to persuade the various patriot leaders and colonies to unite against England. He had great influence in France and gained necessary military and monetary aid from there, which tipped the scales in favor of the colonies.
They thought the Loyalists were traitors to the colonist cause, in short, and therefore subject to anything that the Patriots dished out (i.e. treating them like dirt).

The Loyalist thought since Great Britain started the colonies they should rule the colonies, they believed God was against treason and that the people of Great Britain should obey the king. Yet, some just thought it was safest to be on the Kings side.
During the American Revolutionary War, the "redcoat" troops of Great Britain marched into Concord, Massachusetts, a small town some 20 miles northwest of Boston, in order to uncover and destroy military arms rumored to be hidden there. They were also given unwritten orders to identify and arrest various patriot leaders who were thought to be in hiding there.

When the war of Independence began, colonists had to make a choice. They had to make a choice between remaining loyal or fighting for Independence. Colonist that supported independence from Britain was called Patriots. The patriots didn't like the British taxes. These colonists had no voice in the British parliament. The British shut down Boston Harbor port causing people to starve. The Colonist had no rights; the patriots didn't like the British taxes because they were unfair. Colonist that wanted to remain with Britain was known as Loyalist. They were usually wealthier than the patriots. Loyalist thought the British taxes made everything cheaper. They thought the taxes made everything cheaper. They also thought the taxes are fair pay for the protection of British navy. The loyalist thought the patriots acted like spoiled children. As this continued there were strong disagreements between both sides, which eventually led to disloyal acts against Great Britain which then led to war. - By Brezyy F. Babie Brown
they thought about it and then they noticed that they were wasting there time thinking about it instead they played call of duty
