If both cats were in their prime, and of average size, and wild caught specimens, the tiger would have more advantages. Bengal tigers are somewhat heavier, and more aggresive than lions. Lions could most likely defeat the smaller subspecies such as the Sumatran and Malayan, but Bengal, Indo Chinese and Siberians may be too much for the lion to handle.
The lion would win because of its enormous size and stronger jaws/paws than the tiger.
A male lion and a female tiger would produce a liger.
That depends... Since a tigress isn't that much smaller then a male tiger. Tigress could probably win.
male african lion is bravest than siberian tiger.lion(born to fight) ,tiger(born to hunt)
The lion would win. because it's the king of the beast. It depends on which is bigger, tougher, stronger, and who backs down first. If it was a male lion against a tiger, the tiger would win; male lions don't last long on their own and pride-less. If it was a female lion against a tiger, it would depend on who was bigger, tougher, stronger, and who backs down first. Male and female tigers are about equal when it comes to a fight; the male are bigger but the strength of the two don't differ as greatly as they do between the lions. Females are not as strong, but being smaller, it's inevitable. Their size and strength ratios are comparable though. A female lion against a tiger would be an interest and HIGHLY UNLIKELY fight.
1 day in India,Asia,a male Bengal Tiger left his family, and is looking for a mate. In a very bad mood,a male Asiatic Lion was looking for a tiger to eat. Both the Tiger and the lion were Brave(not scared). The lion and Tiger found each other, they roared and snarled at each other, they both didin't want to fight. (Actually, they did want to fight, they were just planning their attacks). The Tiger knew it was 4:00 AM in the morning,it was trying to scare the Lion beacuse it wanted to avoid the fight so it would find a mate. The lion was FURIOUS,and attacked the Tiger. It missed! The Tiger was 100% Angry and bit the lion's back leg! Then,it let go. The lion bit the Tiger's front leg! The Tiger was 1,000,000,000,000,000(1 Quadrillion)% FURIOUS! It bit the lion's throat! The Lion was injurd. The Tiger bit the throat for 1.....2.......3.......4! The lion is killed! The tiger got out of the ruins and went back into the Rain Forest.

Male lion + female tiger = ligerMale tiger + female lion = tigon
The sabertooth tiger, I would say. It was much larger, more aggressive, more powerfully built, and its big sabers can cause serious injuries on the male lion. But it is unlikely that they would fight as sabertooth tigers existed in america over 20,000 years ago.
Still, although a lion is more likely to die in a fight, it is also very likely that male tigers would submit if it got serious and the tiger realized it was dealing with a maniac who was willing to die to win... Lions didn't get the title "King of the Jungle" for nothing.
Male lion + female tiger = ligerMale tiger + female lion = tigon
well, a male lion can fight to battle another lion who enters his territory and to to win against a lion to take over his pride, and a female can protect her cubs too and fight. so the answer is both
