If it's a normal balloon like the one you'd see at a birthday, it's because it's filled with helium which is lighter than the air around us (it's hard to imagine air has weight, but it does at a molecular level).
If you're talking about a hot air balloon, it floats because the air in the balloon is hotter than the air around it, and heat rises (again due to molecular-level activity).
Hope that helps!
Do hot air ballons cause air pollution
Hot Air Ballons Travel at Low Altiudes Because If it goes any Higher it could pop.
Hot air ballons were invented in 19218237 a.d.If u read this post a commentif u dont then thats mean

Because helium is less dense than air.
The hot air balloons air pressure is usually used to explain the principle of buoyancy.
Non Helium ballons are just oxygen, or O2
Ballons's population is 86.
Air can escape from the ballons even if there aren't holes in them.
The area of Ballons is 17.23 square kilometers.
Ballons are made of an elastic plastic while a bottle in a harder plastic
