Why 1995 escort cranks but won't start. It has spark and gas. I checked ignition module crank sensor plugs coil and still won't start. sprayed starting fluid in the carb still no start HELP?

i work at a Chevy dealership and if ur car came into our place and u truly do have spark and gas then check ur cylinder compression. and if ur Ford is anything like a Chevy ur fuel pressure has to be exactly correct. in other words gas at ur check valve is not necessarily the correct pressure

im having the same problem and mine cranks when it wants too, a guy told me it sounded like the amature in the distributor, its 14.00 so im gonna try that. i had the module on side of dist. checked and it checked fine. i have spark from coil but not to the plugs... but at times it cranks, idles and runs for about an 8th of a mile then dies. hope this helps.
