If no codes (check engine light) or rpm fluctation first check fuel pressure
A loss of power on a Toyota Celica GT while accelerating can be a number of things. The timing might be off. The coil pack might be allowing for a misfire. There might also be a bad Oxygen sensor or bad distributor.
The most common cause for a lack of power whilst accelerating is a clogged exhaust system or lack of sufficient fuel being delivered to the engine. Check your catalytic converter if your vehicle has one, and then change your fuel filter and go from there.
Check the sparkplug wires and make sure the sparkplus are tight
AnswerIf you are having problems with power while shifting and accelerating have your fuel censor looked at. You may need egr valve checked .You may need intake decarbonized .You may need mass air flow sensor .
Your Volkswagen Cabrio might lack power and feel restricted while accelerating because it has a clogged fuel filter or clogged air filter. It might also lack power because there is water in the fuel.
could be two things. if it does it while idling or accelerating, then its probably a spark plug not firing. if it only does it while accelerating or under load. then its probably a spark plug wire. either way, as general maintenance its a good idea to replace all the wires and plugs. Clogged catalitic converter will cause it to lose power.
the reason an engine "jerks" is because all of the fuel going into the cylinders are is not completely burning thus causing a loss of power...
I have a 2002 x type and it completely looses power while driving. I read that it may be a bad ground wire or fuel pump. Do you think this is correct?
If the a/c is blowing hot air then first check the freon levels in the system... If the a/c system is full but shuts off while accelerating then check the power and ground going to the clutch coil and the pressures switches as well.... If the a/c has issues while accelerating then you need to check for a vacuum leak which is a very common problem with a lot of vehicles.........
Drive shaft is going out
This could be a number of things. If the sqeeking happens when braking, then you probably need brakes. If it happens while driving, accelerating and turning then it could be the belt that is making noise. This can be due to a loose belt, worn tensioner or power steering fluid low or power steering issue.
Raw beef will sink in water, however as it cooks it looses weight (mostly water loss) and as it looses weight it becomes lighter therefore it will rise and begin to float.
