Your Volkswagen Cabrio might lack power and feel restricted while accelerating because it has a clogged fuel filter or clogged air filter. It might also lack power because there is water in the fuel.
You could either be in too high of gear or your (if manual)clutch might be going out.

A 2000 VW Cabrio takes power steering fluid as advised directly by VW. It was difficult to put in, I had to use a straw and small funnel, adding a little bit at a time.
I had a '99 cabrio that had a bad fuel pump. because the fuel pump is an electrical motor, and from my experience, if the pump is bad the engine won't start at all. I had gunk in my gas tank that seized up the motor quite easily. If you have problems with acceleration or maintaining high r.p.m.s, or if the engine sputters or has poor power, you might have a clogged fuel filter.
your turbo is over boosting mate that's your problem apc valve needing cleaned !
The name for a government that exerts restricted power over the population is a limited government.
I would suspect a power steering pump problem. Check the P/S fluid level and add as necessary. If it is full the pump is more than likely failing.
