The question makes a false assumption and therefore it cannot be answered. Paul simply does not contradict Jesus at all. Whoever wrote the above sentence is a perfect example of the intellectual dishonesty, laziness, and downright unwillingness of the modern "Christian" establishment to even look at the text. I would not be surprised if this person has not even read Paul or the Gospels. Here are some great links to show the discrepancies between the Christian-killer-turned-"prophet" Saul/Paul and what Jesus actually said. Paulicanism is the foundation of modern Christianity, so it is not surprising that any attempt to uncover this not-so-secret, yet highly ignored truth that Paulicanism is NOT what Yeshua Ben Yusuf had in mind will be suppressed and ridiculed by the establishment. If the above commenter wishes to disagree with me, please do so, otherwise, I invite you to read these links, I could post many of the disagreements between Paul and Jesus here but that would spoil the fun of discovery. The truth is that Paul was a persecutor of Christians, and all he did was take the message of Jesus and make his own version of it, where he was, naturally, the authority, and he basically idolized Jesus and threw much of what he said out the window. People who believe like the one who wrote what is above most likely go by manmade ideas rather than what Jesus taught. Here are some of many links on the subject. Why does Paul mean that Jesus resurrection is so important?

Because if Jesus did not rise from the dead - then he did not return to send Paul on the 'road to Damascus' - this is why it is so important. No Resurrection = No commission = No Christianity!

Paul reaction to the fate of Jews who reject Jesus?

I answer this as an observant Jew, and not a Christian. Paul was trying to convert people in the Roman Empire. So, he could not hold the Romans responsible for the cruxifition of Jesus (which is historical fact). So, the gospel writers and Paul transfered the responsibility for the crucifition from the Romans to the Jews. Paul, who never knew Jesus, took his new religion to the non-Jews of the Roman Empire. James, brother of Jesus, and Peter continued to practice Judaism in Jerusalem and disagreed with Paul and his changes to the mission of Jesus. So, it is understandable that an ego maniac like Paul would respond negatively to any Jew who refused to accept his new religion. Jesus was born, raised, and died a Jew. Jesus did not found Christianity. Peter and the apostles did not establish Christianity. Paul, who never knew Jesus, and disagreed with those who knew Jesus, founded Christianity. To a Jew, Paul's claim that Jesus was God incarnate is blasphemy! Moshe David ben Avraham

How old was the apostle Paul when Jesus was born?

The apostle Paul, then known as Saul of Tarsus, was said to be a "young man" following the ascension of Christ (Acts 7:58), indicating that Jesus was born into the world well beforePaul.

How old was paul on the road to Damascus?

Paul came after Jesus was crucified and arose.

Who is the saint that was a great sinner but whom Jesus forgave much?

There are many, but here are just three: St Matthew was a tax collector who worked for the hated Roman occupying forces. Jesus asked him to follow him and forgave all his sin. St Paul was a persecutor of the Christians, who was forgiven by Jesus when Paul met the risen Christ on the Damascus Road and who went on to be a great missionary. St Peter denied even knowing Jesus three times so he could save his own skin... jesus forgave him and he became the leader of the disciples.

Why did Paul refer to Jesus as Christ Jesus?

"Christ" is a title, and it is equally correct for it to come before or after the name of Jesus. The Hebrew writer (if not Paul) and Peter also wrote of "Christ Jesus" (Hebrews 3:1; 1 Peter 5:10 and 14).In the New King James version of the New Testament, "Jesus Christ" appears 176 times, and "Christ Jesus" appears 68 times. It just so happens that 65 of the 68 "reverse" uses are in the prolific writings of Paul.

Is Jesus living God?

Yes he is very much a living God.

Were the apostles John and Paul in attendance at the trial of Jesus?

According to Acts of the Apostles, Paul spent his childhood in Jerusalem, learning under the famous Gamaliel I, so, on that evidence, he could have been at the trial of Jesus. However, scholars say that there is no evidence in any of the epistles that he was in Jerusalem during the lifetime of Jesus, in which case he could not have been present at the trial. Certainly, Paul never mentions having seen Jesus before his crucifixion. The gospels do not mention John as in attendance at the trial of Jesus. .

Why did Paul Liberstein lose so much weight?

It is unclear how or why Paul Liberstein was able to lose so much weight. He has not given any interviews divulging that information.

Did peter treat paul like an honorary member of the church?

At first Peter didn't trust Paul, but he remembered that Jesus said to forgive your enemies, and so he did accept him in the end.

What does the Bible mean to Saint Paul?

The Bible, as we have it now, didn't exist in the days of St Paul - he wrote a large chunk of it, after all! He would have had the Hebrew Bible (the Old Testament), and regarded it as God's word to humanity, as he affirms many times in his letters by quoting extensively from it. This is also what he means when he says 'scripture'. Paul wrote most of his letters before the promulgation of the Gospels (which came later, with the earliest [Mark] being written around 65.AD). So when Paul said in 2 Tim 3:16 That all scripture was God breathed, he was not speaking about any part that he wrote, as much of what we have today did not exist when Paul wrote these words. So should we as Christians elevate Paul's words over that of Jesus? I don't think we should as Jesus was very clear not to call any man teacher (rabbi) or father, as he was the only teacher or father. So what to we do when Paul's words disagree with those of Jesus?

All about the apostle paul?

Paul is one of the more significant writers of the Bible. Paul's old name was Saul before he was converted. This is irony that he is so beloved because he persecuted followers of Jesus. Paul had not actually known Jesus and he was converted on the road to Damascus. Paul wrote at least seven books of the Bible. When Paul caused a disruption in Jerusalem, he was arrested and put under 2 years of house arrest then put to death.
