The whole Earth belongs to God and He gives parts to certain tribes of men to have for their own. After He selected Abraham and his descendants to be His Inheritance out of all the peoples of the Earth, He saw the unspeakable abominations the peoples living in Canaan were doing. He decided to rid them of their possessions and destroy them for their horrific sins. He would give this land to His chosen to follow His ways, setting an example for all mankind:
