Why Low oil pressure light came on while driving a 2001 Quest Nissan van?

The oil pressure could be low. Or the oil sensor could be bad. The vehicle should have a fresh oil change if its anywhere near time, and the oil pressure tested. The sensor is easy to replace if its bad.

I just had the same problem, check engine light on, gas peddle would not push down, had to apply pressure and which made me gun it. Alot of pressure was also coming from the gas tank when I removed the cap. Just had it fixed today it was the evap vent valve according to the repair invoice. part number 14935-54u04 for 99 Nissan quest. Repair cost was $258.00. Hope this helps!
