Why Mexicans in America?

Because America increased its borders by the means of war in 1848, acquiring lands where Mexicans already lived, such as Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California. Due to increased economic opportunities in the United States and mediocre economic performance by Mexico since the 1960's, more Mexicans began to migrate. This Immigration peaked around 1990, but by that date, more than 11% of the current American population were descendants of Mexican people.
