The Romans thought Christianity was dangerous because they felt it undermined everything they grew up believing with their Roman Gods because it brought a change. And when you have an empire like that if you have one change then people start questioning everything and the idea of change itself is what scared the Romans. Even Catholicism hated change they threatened many scientist and their theories because everyone thought The Bible had no flaws and scientist said that the sun was the center of the universe and not Earth which was what the Catholics said at that time.
