On most cars the SRS system runs a self check when the car is started, this takes a few seconds, once it's done (assuming the self check is o.k.) the SRS light goes out.
Do the lights come on? Do you have correct operating voltage? What type of car is it? Does the car crank but not start? Do the error lights come on and dim while in the start position? Please answer 1 or some of the questions and I will be able to answer with a more accurate answer or possible solution.
SRS sensor lights have a warranty extention. There is a factory problem with the SRS light coming on. Call your dealer. Your car has to have under 150,000 miles on it.
When airbags deploy on a Honda Civic the SRS system is alerted. This will not allow the car to properly start. The SRS system will need to be properly reset.
Yes, the engine is in no way linked to the SRS system.
The air bags are part of the SRS. Secondary Restraint System.
If this is a question . My srs light did not come on. But if this about your car .The safety restraint system light usually illuminates when the system check fails its start routine .The failure type depends on the kind of car or truck and ,or if it has been involved in an accident.
you drain your battery when you leave your lights on
If you are wondering why this happens, it is completely normal. When you turn your key all the way to start the car, all the warning lights will come on do perform a lamp test. Also, the computer runs a quick test on all the sensors in the car and on all the lights on the dash to make sure everything is operating properly, once you start the car, these lights should all go out. If there are lights remaining lit on your dash, it may mean that your car needs to be serviced, always get warning lights checked if they come on while the car is running. Hope this helps!
No.
Most likely your car battery is completley dead.
check if your lights are still on that drained the battery
When your lights are on and your engine is not running you are taking the power for your car lights directly from your battery. If you leave them on long enough, you will run down your battery and your car will not start. Then you will need a jump.
