First, remove the fuse box cover under the hood on rt fender and have someone turn the key over to listen for a clicking sound. If this sound is heard, the starter relay is working. Next, use a multimeter and turn it to 20 VOLTS and touch the positive and negative terminals with the approprate leads and if the battery reads 12 or slightly higher, the battery is okay. The other option is to revove the battery and take it to AutoZone and let them check it. If that proves to be okay, it is very likely the starter. Replacing the starter is easy and can be seen from the top-side of the engine. Remove negative battery terminal, after the breather assembly has been completey removed the starter is accessible. To remove breather holder, there are two bolts in the bottom that will allow you to remove the entire assembly. There are two bolts on each side of the starter, unplug its wires and just remember how you took them off. There are just a couple of wires. Take your time and pay attention to what you are doing and you will be fine.
Yes
two very good possibilities are the battery, and the starter. its easy to test, just try to jump start it. if it still just clicks it needs a starter. if it starts its probably the battery.
Probably ignition switch gone bad or the key cylinder itself is bad. Good Luck!!!

A bad fuel injector can cause your 2004 Toyota Camry to smoke when you start it up. A plugged air filter can also cause it to smoke.
