Why a 2000 Caprice LTZ gives a strange knocking sound from the engine at speeds higher than 120 KPH with air conditioner ON once you stop the vehicle and let it cool the sound goes off and remains OFF?

First off the caprice was cut from production in 96. If someone gave you a 2000 caprice.........you got screwed.

Its North American production was cut in 96 but resumed from Australia from 2000 till to-date and it is mainly only for the Middle Eastern Countries. So if anyone get 2000 Caprice he is not screwed - the person who thinks so is just ignorant of the facts.

Yes, but you have to be creative. Just shampooing the fur of a hamster with added conditioner is not going to kill it. But if you submerge the hamster in a vat of conditioner, it will drown. Why you would want to do such a thing, I cannot imagine. We get some pretty strange questions on this site.
