Why am I so bad at running?

It could be because you do not run very often. If you are not very active, then most likely you won't be good at running.

A way to improve in running is, every day you can run for as long as you can without stopping. You can set a "personal goal" for yourself, and try to run for five minutes straight every day.

Once running for five minutes is easy for you, increase the time by two or three minutes and run for about seven or eight minutes straight. Most likely, if you keep doing that your running skills will improve.

Another reason could be your heart. If your heart is not healthy you won't be good at running. If you believe that is the case, try eating healthier food. Also, to help improve running, you can try breathing steady while running. Breathe in through your nose, and out through your mouth.

Your geographical position also matters.

Sometimes, the reason is bad running technique. Make sure that you run while standing upright. This does not mean that you have to stay tense, just maintain an upright posture with a slight lean to forward.

While running, make sure that your body is as fluid as possible. Don't tense your muscles without reason.

Before starting your running regime, buy yourself a pair of comfortable shoes. Try to use specialized running shoes. Running in incompatible shoes can give you foot blisters and make running a pain.

While running, keep yourself hydrated. Water loss can also cause undue fatigue. Make sure to take in enough carbohydrates. While running, your body switches almost exclusively to burning carbohydrates, as this is the most convenient source of energy for the body to split.
