Jews are no more insecure as people than any other group of people. However, Jews as a group do retain a certain insecurity as concerns Anti-Semitism and its resurgence in society. On the other hand it has been said (even by secular scholars) that the fact that Hebrew contains so many synonyms for happiness demonstrates that traditional Jews are generally happy people. Judaism is well-known for its optimism as well as its warm community and family life.
