What is common to Matthew chapter 1 and Luke chapter 3 is the genealogy of Jesus, back through Joseph to King David. Scholars now know that each evangelist wrote his gospel unaware of the existence of the other gospel, although they both relied on Mark's Gospel for their information about the life and mission of Jesus.
As well as showing that Jesus was descended from David and was therefore the long-expected Messiah, both authors placed the great Zorobabel, son of Salathiel, in the genealogy, as a sign of greatness. They do not agree on the ancestors of these two, but neither does the Old Testament, although it is closer to Matthew than to Luke.
Matthew demonstrated that there were 14 generations: from Abraham to David; from David to Josiah; from Josiah to Jesus. To do this, he had to ignore 3 kings in the Old Testament and have David in the preceding (as 14) and following (as 1) groups, but not so Josiah. Then, we have no possible way of verifying Matthew'slist of Jesus' ancestors from the time of the Exile.
Luke had great men occur in multiples of 7 generations starting from Adam, with: Enoch at 7; Abraham at 21; David at 35; Jesus at 77. He also had the name Joseph at 42 and 70. To do this, he had to insert his own fictitious people into the Old Testament list: Kainan at 13; Admin at 28. Once again, we have no possible way of verifying Luke's list of Jesus' ancestors after King David.
Matthew's gospel opens with a genealogy of Jesus (Matthew 1:1-17). Luke's genealogy is presented in the third chapter of his gospel (Luke 3:23-38).
Both Matthew and Luke are in the New Testament. It is about John the baptist and Jesus going to the wilderness.
Matthew 3:3, Mark 1:3, and Luke 3:4.
It depends on whether you are looking for the name specifically, or his alternate name which was Levi, or variations on the name for different people: "Matthew" is found at Matthew 9:9; 10:3; Mark 3:18; Luke 6:15; Acts 1:13. ["Levi" is found at Mark 2:14; Luke 5:27,29] There are references in the genealogies of Jesus' ancestors: "Matthat, which was the son of Levi" (Luke 3:24,29) "Matthan the father of Jacob" (Matthew 1:15) Finally, there is Matthias, the successor of Judas Iscariot (Acts 1:23,26).
In Matthew 1:4 and Luke 3:33, Aminadab is the son of Aram, and the father of Naasson.
Some of the parables in the Bible include the Parable of the Good Samaritan, the Parable of the Prodigal Son, the Parable of the Sower, the Parable of the Mustard Seed, and the Parable of the Lost Sheep. These stories were used by Jesus to teach important lessons to his disciples and followers.

Accounts of Jesus' baptism are found at Matthew 3 (the entire chapter), Mark 1:1-13 and Luke 3:21, 22.
One thought:Different scriptures tell us different details about Jesus.*Jesus was born in Bethlehem:(Luke 2:4-7) as prophesied (Micah 5:2)*His family moved to Egypt:(Matthew 2:13-15)*...and then to Nazareth:(Luke 2:39+40)(Mark 10:47/Acts 2:22)*His mother was a virgin: (Luke 1:26-32)(Matthew 1:18/Luke 1:34+35)(Luke 2:7)*His father is God:(Matthew 16:16/1 John 20:30+31/Galatians 4:4/Luke 1:35+3:22)*Jesus had a prehuman existence in heaven: (John 3:13/6:38+62/8:23,42,58)*Jesus was God's first creation: (Colossians 1:15 + Revelation 3:14)*God sent Jesus to save us: (John 6:56+57/John 3:16/1 John 4:9)
Matthew 3, Mark 1, and Luke 3.In retrospect, John the Baptist refers to Jesus' baptism in John 1 also, but the event itself is not described.
