Why are answers that don't give atheists favorable treatment edited?

Many religionists write extremely disrespectful, insulting and judgmental comments regarding atheists, thinking that only their way is the "right" way.
Anyone interested in our editorial policy on questions about religion and spirituality should be interested to know that we also edit answers by atheists if we believe they are inappropriate. Answers.com is neutral as to religion.

Do answers I edited before I joined The Initiates Program count towards my edit answers mission total?
No, answers that you edited before joining The Initiates Program do not count towards your total for the editing answers mission. Similarly, any answers that you edited whilst on a previous mission do not count towards your total either. It is only the answers you edit from the start date of your mission that count towards the mission. You can check how many answers you have edited by clicking on "My contributions" on the blue menu and filtering to "Answers (edited)".
How do you make a correction in the answers?
Answers uses Community Answers. These are expected to be edited, revised, added to over time. Just click the Edit button and do minor edit or add information. However, you should not "blank" a previously written answer.NOTE: Expert Answers cannot be edited.
Why are some questions cannot be edited?
incorrect grammar but whatevs they can't be edited because they are admin answers and they don't want you changing those

Answers is a credible website. But for academic writing, it would likely be judged as unacceptable because answers can be edited.

Most readers can tell the difference between good answers and vandalism. It is the nature of the base -- wiki -- that answers be edited and updated by any and all contributors.
Why do your answers keep being removed?
Answers that are nonsense, contain personal information, inappropriate language or otherwise violate the terms of use are flagged automatically by the system and removed or edited.
