Much of what is written in The Bible never happened and is imaginary and fictitious, written by primitive, ancient, uneducated, unscientific, superstitious humans who thought the earth was flat and that the sun revolved around the earth.

These primitive humans had no idea what electricity or meteorology was, and had no idea whatsoever what a thunder storm was. When they saw lightning and thunder, they said it was "gods" fighting, Gods like Thor and Odin. All the God stories in the Bible are the same thing. Now we have Science and Technology to explain the real facts. We don't need to make up stories to explain things anymore. There was no God before man existed, because man created God. God is imaginary and exists only in the mind, NOT outside of the mind.

The Jews were meticulous keepers of written records from very early times. The accuracy of the scientific accounts preceded man's discoveries - the Bible does not say the earth is flat, rather, it speaks of it as a sphere. It also was ahead of its time in presenting the innumerable number of stars beyond what could be seen, the way the water cycle works, and so forth. Archaeology has unearthed many sites that corroborate with Biblical accounts formerly scoffed at as being non-existent. So, one would say that the only reason it is not accepted in modern history books is because of the political correctness of relegating God to fictional status.

What are Islam's stories?

Qisas Al-Anbiya (قصص الانبياء) describes most of Islam's sacred stories. (The Qur'an does not do much storytelling). Most of these stories are the same as those in the Bible save for the modifications due to Qur'anic Revelation. There are also stories about other Muslim prophets and parts of Mohammed's exploits.

Why don't text books address the shortcomings of historical figures?

History is made by those who see a man/woman as interesting/worthy to be written about...and only those stories that are either heroic or atrocious are deemed interesting enough to keep them going on throughout the ages. We know plenty about the impotence of King Richard VIII. History likes to show the shortcomings of historical figures who are viewed as evil.

How does Deuteronomy serve as a bridge between the Pentateuch and the historical books?

Deuteronomy serves as a bridge between the Pentateuch and the historical books by providing a renewal of the covenant with the Israelites before they enter the Promised Land. It reviews key laws and instructions given in the preceding books and emphasizes the importance of obedience to God. This sets the tone for the historical books that follow, which detail the Israelites' conquest and settlement of the land in accordance with the covenant.

Why are the books in the Bible called The Books of History?

Not all the books are called Books of History. Only the first five books of the Bible are given this title because those books contain the true early history of mankind. Actually the first five books of the Bible are called the Pentateuch. The historical books of the Bible are from Joshua to Esther. They are: Joshua, Judges, Ruth, I Samuel, II Samuel, I Kings, II Kings, I Chronicles, II Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther. For more information please see the related link below.

How does Deuteronomy serve as a bridge between the Pentateuch and the historical book?

A:We only need to look at what biblical scholars regard as the history of the Pentateuch and the biblical Books of History to understand the position that the Book of Deuteronomy has in regard to both groups of books. We all know that the Book of Deuteronomy is one of the five books that form the Pentateuch. In fact the name Deuteronomy means 'Second Law", a reference to laws described here and elsewhere in the Pentateuch. Scholars have also established that the author of Deuteronomy also wote the group of books known as the Deuteronomic History - Joshua, Judges, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings and 2 Kings. Although traditionally regarded as having been written over a period of many centuries by different authors in different times and even different cultures, they actually form a well-integrated set of works that are, in large part, by the same hand. This is the same hand that also wrote the Book of Deuteronomy, making it a bridge between the stories of the Pentateuch and those of the History.Although Deuteronomy is traditionally regarded as having been written well before the books of history, Deuteronomy 34:10 tells us that this book was actually written long after the establishment of the nation of Israel, when it says, "And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses ..." The books of history follow in the order of the chronology they relate.

What is the detailed history of the computer?

That would require several hundred or maybe thousand books and wouldn't fit here. Besides if I had the full history I'd be writing those books hoping to make some money, not typing it here for free.
