Before everyone started wrapping race cars, this is how they used to paint logos on them. You start by purchasing masking film and cutting the logos in negative. You have to make marks on the film that will correspond with points on the car so you can line it up properly if you're doing a multicolor logo. But let's keep this simple and put one-color logos on the car...oh, yellow Shell logos on a black car. Next, paint the whole car yellow. Let the paint cure overnight. Then put the masking film on the car where the logos are to go, and paint the whole car black. After the paint cures, you peel off the masking film and you've got logos!
