Ferrets are regarded as pests in New Zealand because it is an introduced species that was able to thrive in it's new habitat and prey upon native wildlife, which then becomes an endangered species

Not all ferrets are bad.

When they are, sometimes it has to do with how he/she is treated by the owners or other people who are and /or have been around them.

If you mean you're having a really bad problem with your ferret biting, then the next time he/she bites you really hard, gently, but firmly nip it on the tip of its ear. I did that, and my ferret never bit me again!
