Found in all temperate seas, the white shark is in no danger of extinction. But their numbers seem to have been declining in some areas, as fishermen kill them on occasion, and commercial hunters take them for the fins, from which shark's fin soup is made. This happens to almost all sharks.

The Great White Shark is endangered because, unfortunately, some countries are killing them for food, and materials. Some of these countries include, Japan, China, and others. They kill them by breaking their fins because they think it brings them good luck and magic.

Great White Sharks are endangered because they are hunted by reckless people for their teeth, fins and skin, these are sold for a large price. Some people also hunt the great white shark because the are seen as 'a gruesome creature that is a threat to humans.' Although this is not true, we intruded their natural habitat and started hunting them. Great white sharks numbers are also declining because of over-fishing in all the seas of Earth, causing a low number of food for them to eat, also them being caught in fish nets. Great White Sharks are mistaked for their inner and outer beauty, and the loss of this creature will be a tragic loss for the world.

The great white shark was added to the endangered list because its population has dropped due to the unregulated trade and excessive hunting.

The great white shark is the top predator of the ocean and it is not killed by any other predator in the ocean. However, humans have killed a great number of white sharks to get their teeth and jaws for trading and their meat for pills.
