If a guy has feelings for a girl and she turns him down, he will feel crushed. That is why they call it a crush. Usually this happens because he thinks she is too good for him, and his chances are not so good, but he can't help how he feels. Guys naturally want the nicest, prettiest, smartest, funniest, most popular girl they can get, so sometimes they fall for a girl they think is too good for them, but they hope maybe, somehow they have a chance with her, and then they think about it too much so it becomes a big deal to them if they get rejected.

∙ 14y agoGuys are scared of rejection because they have a certain primal instinct that if they go for a mate they will have the mate, but now since we are human, we have the emotions that make us feel hurt or shamed, especially if we ask publicly. It's a natural feeling that guys get nervous/scared because they like the girl,but they are just scared of the girl saying no.
