Hippos are threatened species which means they're only a few steps away from being endangered :(
Hippos are endangered because of people killing them for there teeth and skin. I am in college and did a very complex report about them but here are the main reasons why they are in danger.
For there teeth and hippos teeth valuable and hippos were also dangerous
They are hunted because of their tusks because they are really tough so people get the tusks carve them into a knife or something sharp sell them and they make a fortune out of it
They aren't. It is just that Hippos have been provoked to attack. They are territorial, so that makes them a little agressive. Yes, more people are killed by Hippos a year than sharks.
Hippos are hunted by humans for crops and vegetation protection, and for safety.
it is because people are killing them
Because everything dies.
