Why are hispanic men so controlling?

OK!! SLOW DOWN WOMEN!! lol I am a hispanic man dating a beautiful white woman and i was hard for me to get her cuz her last boyfriend was Mexican and he used to control her and sometimes beat her and stuff so she was "over" us hispanic men BUT i proved her wrong. you cant stereotype hispanic men like dat cuz even tho we might share the same culture we were not rase by the same mother. Here is a clue for u hispanic men lovers lol watch how he treats his mom cuz he more likely treat you the same.

I also have to agree with you (below). I have dated four different Hispanic men and each one seemed to be controlling. I love them because they are so passionate and they work so hard but hate the controlling part. This is not an insult to anyone by any means. It is just a fact. Not all are this way, but a majority are. I asked a coworker of mine who is an older Hispanic lady. She told me that most of it has to do with the way they were raised and their family life. Also from experience and looking into this question I have discovered that much has to do with the crossover of cultures. My current boyfriend is from Ecuador. We have an extremely rocky relationship. He constantly thinks I am seeing other men, lying to him, hiding things, flirting too much, etc. I have caught him checking my phone. He even admitted to sitting outside my apartment late one night watching me. He goes as far as to tell me what underwear I should wear. When I tan or if I dye my hair he questions why and who I am trying to impress. When I confront him about this he gets defensive and tells me I am arguing too much. I am completely honest with him and would never do those things he accuses me of and it frustrates me beyond belief because I am very faithful. He moved to America 8 years ago and I think there still is a lot he is adjusting too and there may be a sense of intimidation, language barrier and culture change. Because of this he feels insecure. He is also quite a bit shorter than me which may add to it. He feels he has to show his power in other ways. Like I said above, he is not the first Hispanic I have dated who has acted in this manner.

My Boyfriend that I have had for the last six months is hispanic. When we first met he was sweet, kind and generous. Now...he is just plain mean to me. I feel like i am walking on eggshells with everything that I say and do. Every Hispanic boyfriend i have had was the same way. If things don't work out with this one I am done with Hispanic Men. The reasons...... heritage and the way their Father or relatives treated their women.
