because white relfects heat meaning that inside the homes will be kept relatively cool. that's why in any country that has a relatively hot climate most of the houses are white or similar pale colours
The sun is very hot in the desert, and dark colours attract the sun, but light colours ( like white ) dont attract the sun. So the white makes the houses less hot.
Objects that are white reflect all wavelengths of light and therefore absorb the least heat
Most houses in the desert are painted white as white reflects the heat and does not allow for the walls to absorb it. On the other hand a black house would absorb all heat and the house would be a lot hotter then if it was painted white.
No. The houses are usually painted with beautiful, colorful paintings.
Their painted white because darker colours attract more heat, meaning they get hotter, faster. White, being the opposite of the darkest colour/shade, black, would then keep whatevers inside the house cooler than in a dark/black house. Does that help?

the white reflects the sun away from the house it keeps it cooler
They aren't and just like the United States they are all colors. One reason houses were not painted at one time is that paint was too expensive and when they were painted white that was the only color that could be bought. Why do you think that the houses in other countries are only white? I have lived in Germany and been all over Europe and guarantee they all aren't.
Houses in hot countries are painted white because a white surface reflects nearly all the light/heat of the Sun. As light is reflected from the house, the walls and do not heat up and the building interior is cool. This makes the building more pleasant to live in in a hot sunny climate.
to reflect the sun's rays and therefore to reduce heat absorption
After the British burned the executive mansion it was painted white to cover the burn marks. To paint a house in the 1800's was very unusual because it was so expensive. No houses were painted and the "White House" stood out because it was painted white. People began to refer to the house as the white house when asked about it or talking about it. Thus, the name stuck.
Monet did a series of paintings of the Rouen Cathedral.
they can blend in with their surroundingsanswer 2Because white reflects the heat of the Sun and therefore helps to keep the house cool.
After the war of 1812 when it was burned it was painted white to cover the burn marks ( those are still there). Very few houses were painted in the 1800's because paint was very expensive so when asked where the president lived people pointed out the "white house."
