Do the click when car is stationary
because the gears are clicking on each other when they spin.
Clicking sound in grand Cherokee can be due to a faultyÊ actuator, or a cracked door. Actuator may causeÊ a clickingÊ sound when one of its plastic gears is broken.
Its the air flap from rear ac. the toy like plastic gears they use have stripped.
There are several things that cause this. Almost all of the are 100% normal. If I knew what kind of car it is I could tell you more.
Don't know what the year, make or model is but it sounds like the temp blend door actuator gears are stripped.

It may be the blend door actuator. This part starting making a clicking sound in my 2003 Lincoln Navigator. It is located in the back right panel next to the rear seat. When I removed the actuator and opened it up, I found that one of the gears was partially stripped.
No they do not have gears
Well in most cars there are 5 gears and the reverse. Don't forget the timing gears, steering gears and differential gears.
