There are lonely people in this world and days like Valentines Day reminds them how lonely it can be without someone. If a person can not learn ways to handle days like this they have a tendency to take it out on other people. Just because a holiday is good for you doesn't mean it means the same to others. Think about the people who have lost children or couldn't have children when there is Mother's Day and they are reminded of this every where they go for several days. Just like Christmas, not everyone celebrates it and for three months that is all they see.
