Why are snarky sarcastic answers OK and left as answers on answers.com?

If the answers remain, it's only because a supervisor has not yet found them. When they do, the answers will either be removed so someone can give a good, helpful answer, or the supervisor will change it to a good, helpful answer.
In fact, everyone can help eliminate answers like that! If you aren't able to edit the answer yourself, you can leave a message for any supervisor on their message board or send an email to support @ answers.com (no spaces).
