They were revolutionary when they came out and sounded great. Many many pro's use them so fans are encouraged to use them too. They are very common so more people buy them. The double cutaway design allowed access to the upper frets of the neck. The design also featured a "belly cut" that was contoured to be more comfortable while playing. The fact that the Guitars also have the pickguard containing most of the electronics attached to it--which is easily removed, replaced, or exchanged; and that the neck has a 3 or 4-bolt attachment making broken headstocks, a tragedy to a set neck instrument, quick fix on a Stratocaster. Since the design is so versatile, many companies (large and small) have made imitations over the years--sometimes with great success--making the availability and aftermarket for these instruments a business in themselves.
The Fender Stratocaster guitar is an expensive instrument because it is made of high-quality materials put together by highly skilled craftsmen. Its cost also reflects its popularity, as many professional Guitarists have chosen this instrument as their own, while amateur musicians of all types have also done so.
IN my oppinion, all good rock songs in the past 50 years have been played on a strat, tele,or les paul.also dont count the knock offs like squier because those are just cheap guitars shaped like a strat so kids will be happy if they cant afford an 800 dollar guitar.the original FENDER strat is just a great all around guitar.hope this answers your question.
Because people think it's a legendary instrument. Plus a guitar is used in all kinds of genres in music
300 total 80 telcasters 220 stratocasters in three color combinations. How do I know....I made them
No doubt far less a number than were made. Without a doubt, some 1954 Stratocasters that were made just don't exist anymore!
Any Semi-Acoustic Hollowbody Guitar will do. Stratocasters fit as well.
it depends if it was mass produced or not. hand crafted stratocasters are very costly
Because they are so popular
