the name for this is amenorrhea-- the absence of your period. given that you are of the age of menstruation, causes can be: menopause, breast-feeding, heavy athletic training, excessive dieting, anorexia, starvation, (even your body fat percentage being too low) emotional factors (stress), previous use of Birth Control pills, use of some drugs, a hormonal imbalance, cysts or tumors, or a combination of these factors. ∙ 15y agoThere are many reasons women miss their periods. One could be to much stress. Stressing to much can cause the body to become out of wack. Being to over weight can put pressure on the uterus and cause eggs not to be produced and thus no bleeding. Being to under weight can stress the uterus, and cause all the eggs to die and stop periods as well.

∙ 15y agoThere are times when sometimes you are a day off or a day early or so on. Usually it's no big deal. If you are bleeding too often, that means you are going through menopause. Just a really long word for 'end of your period for good'.
