Because when drunk she will lose her judgment, have sex which might be something she would not normally do, with a person she would not normally care about and she would not remember or care about Birth Control. Or she would trust him when he says he's got it. Alcohol and drugs makes you lose your good judgment so you do stupid and careless things.
