Why aren't my mods in minecraft working?

It depends what mods and where you get them. It might be a fake or you might have to press buttons to activate it or something

You should go to the site(s) that you downloaded the mods and make sure that you have the correct version of the mod and that there are no conflicts with other mods you are running.

Make sure that you put your CC(hair, accessories, script mods, clothes, objects) under the "Mods" folder. Once in game, go to "Game Options" and press "Enable Custom Content"(It's under one of the categories). Be sure that your CC is a .package file or else you may have to extract it(You can download Win.Rar to extract your files). Some CC may require a mesh or base that you must download separately, so remember to check the captions/details just in case.

Script mods will be different files(Script mods add new functionalities to the game such as MC Command Center). When you download a script mod, the creator will tell you how to put the mod into the game in the instructions. Remember to go to "Game Options" and enable "Script Mods". Some script mods have to be updated themselves, as sometimes they don't work on later patches. Always check for new script mod updates!

For lots, you must drag the individual lot files into the "Tray" folder. DO NOT EXTRACT ANY OF THE INDIVIDUAL LOT FILES. There should be around 6-8 lot files per lot, depending on how many floors your lot has. Once in the game, go to "My Library" go to the side-panel on the left and select "Advanced Options" and select "Include Custom Content".

Also make sure that your game is updated to the latest version.
