No, the compressor only draws out the heat from air. The blower motor either blows warm air or cold air.
Air have to be used in chrome plating to prevent pitting & to have uniform plating.One must not use air compressor air. Use only the blower to pass the air.
The engine drives the A/C compressor by way of a belt. This puts an extra strain on the engine which uses more gasoline than if the A/C were turned off and the compressor was not being driven. Even the HVAC blower motor which runs on electricity causes the engine to use more fuel. The blower motor runs off the 12 volt battery but the battery is kept charged by the alternator which is driven by the engine. Everything on the car that is electrical uses fuel in one way or another.

chevrolet and other GM use the HR100T AC compressor

Press and hold the "Off" and "Warmer" to get into the system, once there use the fan/blower motor controls as follows: the High Fan button for "Yes" and the Low Fan for "No." Scroll through to you get to any A/C Codes. It should eventually ask "Clear Codes" and hit the High Fan button for Yes. Once cleared the A/C Compressor should come on, providing nothing else is wrong.
